Barks is 2.6 miles to Alton Towers, located on the quieter queue-free side.
Barks holiday cottage is ideal as a base for walking the Churnet Valley and Staffordshire Moorlands or as a family-friendly holiday destination. Children and well-behaved dogs welcome at Barks.
Barks is wonderfully rural; with hills and valleys where you and your children and dogs can walk for miles without crossing any roads. The unexploited Churnet Valley is in the Staffordshire Moorlands, at the south end of the Peak District. There is plenty to do around in addition to visiting the nation's favourite theme park at Alton Towers, please visit our Holiday Ideas and things to do near Alton Towers page for some inspiration.
